I just bought my L two weeks ago, but when I went to read through the manual that weekend I found out that I didn't receive the Lightning part of the owners guide.

So, I went back to the dealer and talked to my salesman and the "SVT specialist" (the guy that does all the SVT orders), and they said that they would order one right away for me. OK. I haven't heard anything from them for two weeks until I went back to the dealership last night to drop off some paperwork, and they said it was on order. I don't know if they are BS'n me or what. I think I'll just keep bugging them for a few more weeks.

If they don't actually come through for me, can I get this from SVT or what?

What should I do?

 

There's one on Ebay for a 1999.

Doesn't apply to you but they want $15.00 for it...

 

I wouldnt worry about it for now, since you will get a birth certificate for your L, plus a 2001 supplementary manual along with it in the mail. (that is the L owners manual) Mine took about 1-2 months to receive after I bought my 01 L. Hope this helps.

 

Call SVT hotline they will probably send you one.

 

In back of your owners manual is the phone number for Helm, Inc. I got mine from them for 6.50 and 6.00 shipping. It only took a few days to get it....JR
