Using Zaino Wax

I have never used Zaino wax on my L and would like to know how you guys apply it? I was under the impression that you wash it with Z-7 the car wash, then apply one coat of Z-1. Then depending on your situation you either apply Z-5 or Z-2. One question? When you apply one coat of lets say Z-2 if you want to do another coat do you wipe off the Z-2 and do another one or just apply over the first coat. Then after applying the Z-2 apply
Z-6 the Gloss and wipe immediatly.

Thanks for any suggestions or help

Here is the Procedure I used. It is also outlined on their web site
http://www.zainobros.com/files/application.htm

Use Liquid Dawn (hand dishwashing liquid) per instructions to wash off the old wax the first time you use Zaino.
Then in the following order
1 Claybar – Z-18 Important … follow the instructions and Do this step
2 Pre-Cleaner – Z1
3 Show Car polish for Swirl marks & fine Scratches – Z5 If you got swirls else use the Z-2
4 Gloss Enhancer – Z-6
5 Show Car polish for Swirl marks & fine Scratches – Z5
6 Gloss Enhancer – Z-6
7 Show Car polish – Z2 - Swirls were gone so went to the Clear-coated paint polish
8 Gloss Enhancer – Z-6
9 Show Car polish – Z2

Only use Z-7 to wash it when dirty.

If you use Z2 in step 3, you do not have to wait for Z1 it to dry.
You MUST wait for Z2 or Z5 to dry completely before buffing it off.
Then apply the next coat
Just follow their instructions…

Hope this helps
David

Save yourself many hours of work and just use Cherry Wet Wax. I used Zaino for over two years and am now fully converted to CWW because of the wetter looking shine.

Wayne:

I use the Wax Cleaner and follow up with wax.

I think it's the fact that I spend a couple of hours on each section. I could probably use peanut butter and get the same shine...(non crunchy)

16w/Lightning, assuming you applied a coat of Z2, you should wipe or buff off the Z2 after it has dried and then apply a coat of Z6 gloss enhancer. Also, you should allow some hours to pass prior to putting the second coat of Z2 or Z5 on depending on the climate/temperature. The warmer the temperature, the sooner you can put the second coat on. Although not necessary, I've found that putting a coat of Z6 on between coats of Z2 or Z5 enhances the gloss. Also, if you put a coat of Z5 on, be sure to put at least one coat of Z2 on top. Maybe my imagination but it seems that the Z2 creates a 'harder' finish than the Z5. Z5 will give a deeper finish. Another thing, I always finish with a coat of Z6. Even after washing the truck, I'll put on a coat of Z6. This really cuts down on the dust and dirt buildup and even helps with bug and tar removal.
Just my .02......

I've started using the Zaino wax and am happy with the shine. It seems quite durable too.
How does the Cherry wet wax compare in durability?

Durability is comparable to Zaino, although my L gets waxed everry week whether it needs it or not.

That's a nice shine. I intend on trying the Cherry Wet Wax when the Zaino is gone. I have seen some nice results with it on some bow ties, although yours is the most impressive.
What do you use for the Gloss Enhancer or what ever it's called to quick clean? I see they don't have a complete line of stuff.

If I add Z1, Z2, and Z4, does it make Z7?
