Another weekend, another tranny!

Well yet again my tranmission has taken a dump on me for the second time in my life! this time with about 10K on this tranny's life it decided to take a dump friday night on my way home. I was at the toll both on 355 and jumped on it and the 1-2 shift just fell on its A$$ and shut the truck down. The rest of my gears are fine as long as I stay in them but the 1/2 up shift and down shift is just neck breaking now. Its a good thing its close to winter time and I can put her away for a few months cause I have no clue what this is going to cost me this time. With no warrenty to fall back on this is all my time and effort into fixing it now, but at that same time I'm going to build this tranny to handle allot more power then it was meant for.

Now I just need to figure out what to buy to beef this thing up and make it bullet proof.

So what have you guys done to you tranny's to beef them up. I'm talking about the clutch packs, bearings, stuff like that. I know I have to get a converter and shift kit now, what better time to install then when its out of the truck. HAHAHAHA.

Anyway, I'm just really frustrated and pist about this again. Its not what I wanted to do.

Later yo.

Time to call Level 10. www.levelten.com
You will need a PTS kit & Hydrosystem for your tranny.
Perfect for a Lightning.

Well luckily I have a 1 year 12000 miles warrenty on my rebuilt tranny that I didn't even know about unitl now!

My truck goes in wednesday to see what the problem is. Maybe I'll sneak by another year, HAHAHA. NO I really do have to beef it up but this just isn't the best time to drop that kind of cash.

Thats a bummer, sounds like factory tech is they way to go. I am thinking about sending mine to him this winter, even though mine is still shifting awesome at 24,000 hard miles.

I hope you get the problems resolved
