My truck was stolin a few months ago<Got it back>Fine now.Any ways at that time I had a new I/C put on.Tow truck smashed the old one.Just got a recall for it.So my question is should I bring it in anyways?Or Does anyone think that its probably the new version.And how can I tell?By the way it seems to work fine..Thanks.....

 

When you say the tow truck smashed your original intercooler and it was replaced, I have to assume you mean the cooler located in the front bumper? That being the case, it is not the intercooler that ford is recalling. The intercooler recall is for the intercooler located in the intake tract below the intake manifold. So. you definitely don't have the upgraded intercooler.

 

If I/C is leaking ford has been replacing them for the last year or so mine was done about a year ago.

 

Intercooler is under your blower. I hope it's not smashed.

If yours was replaced a year ago, chances are you have another leaker. New style was just released within the last 3-4 months.
