How loud is the blower?

I've never been in a Lightning except my own, and it makes a loud whining noise when I'm getting on it. Sounds like what would be a loud drivetrain whine on a typical car. Is that the blower?

Seems to be throttle position dependent, so I'm assuming it's the blower, and it's normal.

Thats Normal! When you install an air kit expect that noise to be about double! JL

Oh yeah...........

One of the sweetest sounds on earth As JL said, his air filter kit let's you hear even more of it. I think my blower pulley(increased s/c rpms) and my throttle body increase it even more so. Literally dozens of people(young & old) have come up to me at the track(over the months) and ask about that 'scream' my L makes as we make a 1/4 mile pass. We don't get many Ls around here but they're learnin'.

I agree with LIGHTNINROD it is one of the sweetest sounds around. Put a filter kit and it gets even better.

I love the sound of the L's blower whine...just wish it was louder and could be heard at idle....like the Procharger 14 lbs. P-600 that i put on my brother-in-laws Chevette...Ummm...I mean Corvette....sorry...all those Chevy's look the same....LOL ...LOL

Yeah, I guess it's just the opposite of the Vortech on my Mustang, which is loud at idle, and is quiet at higher RPM.
