Thumbs up Borla Exhaust Tips

I have been considering buying a set of the Borla Stainless Steel tips for my stock exhaust. Has anybody bought a set? But, better yet, does anybody have any experience with these tips? But, even more better, does anybody have pics with them installed? Thanks in advance for any reply's and hopefully pics

Fear not Gator!!

I bought a set if Borla 20120 (2.5" in 3.5" out, round, anglecut) tips last week and am having them installed Wednesday night.

The tips look like the Bassani tips but I fear some "creative mandrelling" will be in order for them to line up properly.

as could be expected, imagery to follow.

OBTW, there are some pics of the 2.5" tips and Magnaflow setup in my gallery.

Gator - on my old 4x4 I had the borla cat back that had the slash cut intercooled tips. They looked great (dual out the rear). They came already attatched to the piping.

important part - I remember them being very easy to make and keep shiny

Yes the 20120, Iam ordering mine when I get to work today, my Summit catalog is there. You know for my morning, errrr "reading session" I have seen pics of six pipes square cut, but I was looking for the angle cut and Captn you answered my reasoning for going to these tips
Trying to keep the factory tips shiny sux's! Guess I might as well order my guages for my pillar pod while I have the parts guy on the phone, Autometer....Boost, A/F , fuel pressure and trans temp to go with the new pod on the column

Smile alternative to Borla...

Hey guys,
Well, after agonizing over which stainless tips to buy (Borla, etc), I finally located some that I like the best. They are 4" outlet, 2.5" inlet, 12" long, 38-degree slash (roughly same as stock), highly polished! stainless steel tips. They are from a company called MBRP (http://www.mbrp.com/MBRP%20B/auto.html), part# T-5016.
About the same price as the Borlas, but look much better in my opinion. I will post some pics as soon as I can, but they fill the scallop completely (about 3/4" between pipes and plastic, sides and top) and look MEAN!

Yes, my exhaust guy had to get a little creative, but it wasn't that bad. Again, pics on the way....

Later
