best mods to begin with?

best mods to begin with?

I got a 2001 brand new lightning. I plan on puttin on a chip, a new throttle body, a lower pulley, and an exhaust. What do yall think the first mods should be??

Of those mods, I would do the chip first. Where you get that chip is anybodies game. All the tuners are good fellows, and its a tight market for them.

After all that stuff you mentioned (which should put you into the 12s quite consistently), I would get a shift kit, torque converter, and a drive shaft loop. All this ofcourse, after I'd get my hands on a pair of cams, but they haven't been researched enough.

Cool First mods.

Hey Blulightning,

Mark here (LFP). Those are good mods. If your question is which first, go with a chip and filter combo first. If the money is available add the lower pulley. This will really wake the L up. Add the exhaust for sound. The T/B is good but can be added later. It will give you better throttle response and add about 6-7 ponies. Shoot me an email if you need more info.
