Oh, its not mine... I ran across the pic while surfing the net. IMHO I would rather spray it instead of adding another blower. The spray would also give an intercooler affect.

That is a picture of 38TopGun's truck from about 9 mos - 1 year ago if I'm not mistaken. Its a NOVI2000 supercharger, which I think MRBBQMAN may have also? I remember people saying they still had the awesome TQ the stock "roots type" SC produced, but with muchhhhh better top end HP when the centrifugal SC finally spooled up. Last I heard, he hit "the HP wall", and was trying to figure out what the next step was (did he say bigger injectors?). Thats why I brought this back up...

Does anyone have any updates on 38TopGun's "NASA sponsored project"? (jk-BBQ)

Thanks. Later...

I could be wrong, but...

See that sticker that says "Novi" on it?...thats what you get when you buy the 2nd SC.

See all that dull finish aluminum plumbing/tubing...thats what he had to custom fab "himself", which is where the NASA comment originated from (by BBQ). I don't know what tools you got in your backyard, but I know I couldn't make that stuff in mine...

Talking

TopGun owns an aircraft tooling company, and the Lightning is one of his toys. Boeing and Nasa pay him to make stuff, i doubt one us has the means to persuade him

A few months back Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords had a topic on that idea in the "Under Pressure" editorial and wanted to know if any have done a twin blower set up on an L yet. May want to have some photos sent there they mentioned it may lead to a feature of some sort.

if i cant get a hold of this guy, anyone know someone that could do this for me. what are the advantages of having 2 superchargers? does the extra supercharger put any stress on the stock eaton? what rods and pistons would you reccomend since you obviously have to upgrade?

thanks

Another picture.. Pictures don't do this thing justice. BaBolt would probably know better than I would, but wasn't Chet thinking about putting Nitrous on his Lightning??? And didn't he sell the 00' to buy a 01'?

If I remember correctly, TopGun had hit a wall with this design. He proved that less punds of boost from the Eaton SC and the Novi equaled more boost in his math. Way over my head, but he explained the numbers when they were working together. If I remember correctly, he could not get it to breath any better with the current exhaust valve setup. I think he finally reached the max horsepower without new heads being developed at if remeber correctly he hit about 540HP with this set up.
Do not quote me on this ---- just a vague memory at my age
