Question Comparing Shift Points on Different Chips

Wondering if any info on the different chip manufacturers shifting programs. Is it possible to have the Lightning shift exactly like stock?. I have a 2000 L w/the 90mmMAF, so I got the chip as well. The problem is 90% of my driving is on the street & in traffic so I have sent the chip back a couple of times to have it programmed w/the stock shifting. It still is too rough of a shift. Especially from 2nd to 3rd. It makes a big thunk sound when shifting, not very smooth either. The truck actually jerks when shifting. It seems the only way to shift good is at 1500-1700 rpm.
Are all the chips the same? I may just take out the 90mmMAF & chip if the chip can't be programmed to shift exactly as stock.

not all chips are created equal. Different people request different things. I say have it reburned til your happy with it.

What cap'n O said.

You'll have to find a tuner you're comfortable with, then have a discussion with them about exactly what you want. I'm sure all of them could accomodate what you need. Your program now may have higher shift points than stock even though it may have stock line pressure. I had to have several reburns to get a program I was happy with.

Tuner should be able to dial it in exactly how you want it. Stock, firm, chirp, etc.
