Don't mean to sound like smart ***, but i'd be pedaling my *** on a bike if i were you. Wow. I've heard some back luck stories but that take the cake.

I guess I can attribute me owning a lightning to this... blew my knee out playing high school football....no scholarship for college. Couldn't get ample financial aid because my father is a small buisness owner, so I skipped college and went to work full time the day after I graduated. Bought a 90 Full size eddie bauer bronco used. Motor let go...splurged on a 2000 explorer sport, financed for about $560 a month, had it a little over a year and was completely unhappy. Moved closer to work, didn't need 4x4. Traded my explorer for a pay off and started fresh with my 2000 L w/ 2,500 miles on it for 27k, financed of course.

but nobody could give a flying F.......anyway.

47 K Lightning....

This thread caused me to think about something. I've always believed the L is an absolute steal, even if you pay full retail for one. Where else will the same money buy this much style, fun & outrageous performance? I'm not saying I'd pay 47K if that was the best deal available on the L, but I believe I might. The L & the C5 are the best overall performance buys on the market, but for the best $ value, the L is untouchable. I own more expensive performance oriented vehicles than the L, but they usually sit in the garage while I drive my L. 47K is too much to pay for a 32K vehicle, but is it too much to pay for an L? Hmm, it made me think!
