cxn1 processor in 2000 L
do you think i could use a cxn1 processor in my truck i have a 90 mm mass air other than rear gear is their any other thing that would stop me from using this computer like more or different sensors and/or all the pins the same???????

Hi RDY2RAC,
You'll need to deal with the PATS system when you replace the ECU in most 1999 & up F-150's, and either have your existing keys reprogrammed for, or a new set programmed to the new ECU. That aside, operationally you're lucky in that the Lightning has only had 1 ECU revision each model year, and no major mechanical reconfiguration.
Assuming you have the factory 90mm MAF from the 2001 Lightning, your A/F's should be OK, but it would be a good idea to check & make sure.
Make sure to shop, as Ford ECU pricing varys quite a bit from one dealer or source to the next.

Why would you want to. It is my understanding that you have to go thru at least four startups and stops with key removal inbetween to have chip effects work on the 01 trucks whereas on a 99 or 00 pcm you only need to do this one time. Why not just buy another 00 pcm?

well 1 reason would be to take advantage of all the new programs the tuners are coming out with since most of them seam to be running 2001's now there won't be as much r&d done for 99-00
Well someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but my understnding is there are NO PROGRAMS, new or otherwise. only tables that continue to be refined, and second there are more tables to define on 99 & 00s than there are on 01s.
