Cleaning the IC???

I was following another thread where a guy mentioned that the old IC that was replaced for the recall looked all gooped up. I would imagine there would be some loss there over time. Is there something that people could safely spray into the intake charge that would clean it up?

Don't drive it

Good question but i believe those flakes are a teflon coating. Anything you sprayed into the intake to eat that would probably eat the gaskets as well. They might eventually dissolve.....

Mine old I/C was plugged up with oil residue. All that oil that shows up in the T/B and boot is going straight into the cooler. Not sure if a dose of carb cleaner or something similar would help or be safe. Sure feels stronger now with the new I/C.
