Homemade RamAir Question

I just installed a homemade ram air. Works great. So far the only performance parts i have are the PSP lower pulley, K&N Panel filter, and homemade ram air. Do I need a chip? I installed the ram air just yesterday and havnt driven my truck much but when i was comin to a stop today, the truck felt like it was struggling to stay alive like it was about to die. Am I not getting enough fuel or something? its may have been a one time thing but i think i still need a chip. is it hurting my eninge not having a chip?

thanks in advance

if im not mistaken its a 3# pulley from PSP and the tube from the ram air comes from the foglight hole on the driver side and connects to a hole on the bottom of the stock airbox but i didnt block off the stock intake from the fenderwell.
