Jay- I think I'm getting myself some truck-traks for x-mas . Since I'm in the southeast, should I get them through Sal?

RS, that would be the way to do it. The freight will be much less from NY than from CA. He has plenty in stock, I just shipped him another five sets Last Friday. I am taking delivery of 10 sets from the fabricator tonight.

Thumbs up Truck Traks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rs, the Truck-Traks are compatibly with the 2" drop shackles. Several customers have this combination. I do recomend the snubber spacer kit, as it has a tendency to increase the clearance between the snubber and spring when you drop the truck.

Rs....I am one of Jay's customers who have the 2" drop shackles and his Truck Traks. I have had NO clearance problems at all either with the exhaust or with the drop. I did get the spacer kit (highly recommended) for tuning purposes. Definately a difference on the street with the F1's.

I read nittos overview of the NT555R and kind of got the idea that these tires were for mostly track use But then it says they will last 15000 miles with normal driving. Are these tires a replacement for the F1s? What are the pros and cons of going with this tire?

went to truck tracks website and it said the PSP is a dealer. went to PSP's sites and could only find the calvert bars. does psp sell the truck tracks? which set, calvert or trucktracks, are better for use with a FRPP 2/2 lowering kit?

thanks

hey guys i just thought i would shed some light on this. the nittos hook really well. and they are rated for 149 mph. they handle just like a street tire on the street but perform nicely at the track too unlike the m/t et streets which perform great at the track but suck on the street. i only have the 315/35/r 17's i believe the new 305/45/ 18s will work even better b/c of the more side wall. im gonna try some if they ever come out b/c my front tires are shot but they better hurry up i dont have much tread left up there(got to keep the newest tires on the back!)

I just put on a set of the BF Goodrich Comp TA's 295x45x18's on the rear, and you are not going to get me out of the hole on the street. These puppies are rated at 180 while the F1's are rated at 320 on the new ones. You want street tractio, Comp TA's, but they will not last as long as the F1's either.
PS - 28" dia also

1BADTK, I have 2 questions:

1. have you removed your spare tire and hitch?

2. what psi are you running in the rears?

p.s. thanks for the report on the TA's!

By any chance are you talking about Jax Raceways off of Pecan Park road? If so do you go out to the midnight drags every other Sat.? It would be nice to hang out with an "L" owner to get some good info on them since i will be getting one in a few months!!
