By the time it comes from concept to actual production, it will probably be trimmed of most of it's goodies namely the 480Horse powerplant. The 6 speed transmission is pretty cool, definately different and probably more fun to drive. For a Chevy, it looks pretty good.

Anyone notice it claimed to be powered by the 6.6l ls1? Umm I might be mistaken but the ls1 is a 350 and only puts out 305 hp last time I checked. I believe it is the current camaro/vetter motor. Also the 6.6 is topped off w/ a 6.0 tb ..that doesnt amke any sense performance wise.

1/4 mile time is due to the extra weight of the extened cab and lack their of , of torque for putting out almot 5 beanas. I wonder what the dyno graph looks like on this. Probably will end up putting the smaller vortec in it with blower by the time productionhits. Doesn't matter, chevy can park it next to dodge's R/t's in the line of loosers.

I would expect them to go with a slightly tweaked 6.0L . The previous design of the SS called for a NA ~390hp 6.0L with around 405 ft lbs

With that torque, and an ext cab, it's going to be hard for that truck to best that 7 sec 0-60.
