Straight from the dealer to the track!

Well i just picked up my new 2001 lightning The track is only 6 miles from the dealer so i couldn't resist.. I had a full tank of gas, drove staight o the staging lanes and rolled up to the line. It was @ full operating temp. I launched @ 1200 rpm's here's the results 60 ft. 2.00 1/4 13.2 @ 103.9. needless to say i'm very pleased with the results! to top things off i had 1 of my customers with his 99 go 11.95 @ 112.8 and another 1 of my customers went 12.15@112.2 with his 01 with just my lower pulley T.Body, chip and ram air! Man o Man! These trucks were hauling the mail tonight! I must say i'm a little sad about letting my 99 go. but hey we must move on! i'll have the new 01 ready to go 11's by next weekend!( i hope) we'll see what happens........JL

The drive from the dealer to the track WAS the break-in period.

Johnny, you're a maniac.

Hey, the man did say the dealer was 6 miles away from the track. That sounds like a good enough break in period for me.

13.2's Johnny, that's awesome!!! Congrats on the new truck. Can't wait until I hit those low 12's.. I'm just waiting on that UPS guy to show up.

fuel rails

please e-mail me if you guys might be interested to see if we can get the cost down if we get a higher quanity

these will be a direct replacement with a stock regulator
but it can easily be used with an adjustable regulator and a full fuel system from tank to block

they should be good upto 1500 horsepower

robertstaley@peoplepc.com
or give Jl a shout as we are trying to get him to help sell these for us

Good job Johnny!

Sounds like you have a strong 01 to start with! I also agree with what Totaled said about you.

I believe .........

he got BLACK again--in fact, I know he did. I happened to call him just before he picked it up(it sounded like he was changin' clothes) and he said "black".

Btw, another JL customer hit the 12s--hard last nite--Rusty from Vidalia, Ga. We had mid-50s temps and great L racin'.

Thanks again JL for all your help and guidance--you have good friends down here in the South. Hope to see you and Sue again this spring?

Dan

Thumbs up

Damn that's an awesome time, JL! And it was bone-stock too! I haven't raced mine yet (only 700 miles on the odo), but I was only thinking it could only go in the high 13s or low 14s...well now I know better! Have fun with your new L!
