Talking Sal Got Her Runing Again for ME!!

Well as most of you know who read the boards i have been having touble with my truck since i never tightened the harness for the PCM all the way after putting my chip in after i go it back from a reburn think i voltage shocked my PCM. So i went yesterday to see Sal for a new PCM because thats what we thought was causing the problems. Well Sal put the FAST AIR ,and let me say its awesome, on my truck, the new PCM and truck seemed fine after some blasts. Took her back changed some things then she was sick again. Sal threw some new plugs in her the NGK TR6's and still running sick. So when Sal was doing some tests with the scanner we noticed that the code wasnt there that should be when the chip is connected to the PCM. We reset the battery to do some more test then it was. So we popped out the PCM Sal cleaned the contacts some more and added some more sodder to the contacts so the chip would make better contact. Popped the PCM back in and bam she was back to normal. Took her on the highway for some blasts and she was pulling harder then ever. So i was happy.

Their was a funny thing that me and Sal found though when we pulled the old PCM out and me and Sal smelled it it smelled like A$$. Dont ask me why but it did and the new one that worked fine didnt. So anyone having trouble with their truck and thinks its the PCM smell it and if it smells like A$$ you might have a bad one hehe.

Well let me tell you about Sals FAST AIR System its simply awesome. I was the first person to get it on my truck other then Sal and wow what a difference. When we were driving with the scanner on Sal had the Air temp thats getting sucked in the engine up on the scanner we were sitting still waiting for traffic to clear and the temp read 90 degrees. Then when we started to go and the fresh air was being brought into the engine the temp of the air going into the engine dropped down to like 57 and 60 degrees 30 degree drop. When we got back to Sals and popped the hood i was amazed that after a good halfhour of WOT blasts that the blower intake was still cool and i could touch it and leave my hand on it. So the FAST AIR is an awesome set up and i think its the best intake set up out there.

Let me just say Sal thanks for everything you and Lisa were great and two of the nicest people i have met. They offered to have me stay over so i could hit the track or the dyno with Sal in the morning. And let me say it was great to meet copper he is one of the best dogs that ive seen and you could never tell that he just had surgerey from how he acts. Anyone who donated let me tell you it was well worth it. Well Sal thanks for eveyrthing you and Lisa were great.

I will have pics in the next few days. Doing the install on Vinnys truck we found a part that didn't fit right, so we are getting that striaghtened out first. I think Vinny plans to post a few pics of his set up.

Im gonna try and hit e-town this wensday hopefully it will be nice and i can get a 12 second run. My best at he Ford's at e-town was a 13.80 and that was with a check engine light and with the truck weighing in at a hefty 5118lbs. and with her running sick. My 60 fts gotta work on nothing under 2 and i didnt even break a 100 when i should have with my mods so she wasnt at her best. So i think i can get into the12's now we will see.
