Question Irs?

And, no, I don't mean taxes.

Anyone ever hear anything come of the IRS setups that were floating around a year ago?

I was wondering if anyone has seen any upgraded versions or something new? I've looked at the materials for the Lightning Performance version ($5k), but I was wondering if anything else has popped up?

Thanks,
Daniel

I read that the 2002 or 03 Expedition and Navigator is getting IRS. It is suppose to be setup like the Explorer. I also read that it is almost...a bolt in on the pickups.

Dan - I resent it out to you, it's about this Saturday.

Anyway why don't you give the the 4-link idea a try? Also I think it was TopSpeed on svtperformance.com (Mark@Lightning Performance not Mark@lightningforce) has an IRS unit for like $5k. Pretty sure you came across that one in a search.

Capt -- got the email, I'll reply tonight.

I've gotta find out more info on a 4-link... I never saw anyone say anything past "I'm going to model it in CAD"...do you know of any real ones in existence?

Thumbs up

Well around Feb I will be driving around with one.I posted a pic of the prototype that i made on here[was done on a surb],But in reality it will be a 5 link because for any hard cornering the diagnal [sp] link will not take the abuse. So I will use a panhard bar instead.Stan

Terri wasn't too happy, let me put it that way! But Mark and I were. Did you see the photos I posted? I couldn't believe the gas prices - 1.00 for regular and 1.02 for premium!

Cool. Are you near your phone? I'll call in a few minutes.

Ruslow - that is great looking. What are you using for rear springs?

Spike - I hate you. I got to sit in an NSX, thats it.

Ah, I remember those pictures, I had forgotten abuot them...looks real sweet.

I keep looking at IRS's beacuse I'm getting tired of my RX-7 buddy bragging about his coil-overs all day long.

Heh.

The 4 link system does use coil overs. As for the IRS system thought about it to but the work involved for the price or the gain I should say does not offset it.But am still thinking about it for the oddity of it.Stan
Need to learn more about the ft suspension geo. so I can build a rear one.Other wise I will go into brain lock!!!
