Just got a 01 Lightning

Its silver.... Wow what a truck. Its hard to quit driving it..

How do you put on the torneau cover? I ve got it on but i cant figure out where it hooks to behind the cab. Only three sides of it has that flat plastic strip that goes in the groove and the side that buts up to the cab dosent have one... Any ideas. Its the factory cover btw

Whats the deal on the SVT Certificate? Do they mail it, or do i get it at the dealer? Or do lightnings not get a Certificate?

Good Color choice on the Silver !!

Be patient they will mail the Cert after production ends and the numbers have been tallied....

Silver is the fastest color w/o the juice, it's been proven!

Black is my favorite, but I can't keep up with it. My next choice is silver.

Enjoy the truck and start modding.

I hate you (just playing)...........that's one less silver I can get down to Florida....I'm having to settle for white, which I still like, but WOW............silver was my dream!!

With the factory cover, after you loosen the three "flip n clip" sides, you will see that the front cover will "slide" out towards the side of the truck. Give it a little tug and it should come right out. Pretty good way to hold it after I figures it out.

Awesome truck huh? I just got mine last Saturday, and it's been lots of fun. The weather down here is great, and I've been taking the really, really long way to work! That blower whine sure sounds cool. Do you like the stock tonneau cover? I'm not sure if I should get the color matched hard cover from the dealer. It looks nice, but the stock cover works fine, and was 'free'. I guess I can wait until the stock cover gets ripped or vandalized before going to the hard top. Have you been challenged by anyone on the street? Be safe and have fun!
