If anyone is thinking about headers for their Lightning or any other project, JET-HOT is definately the way to go. The coating is a little more expensive, but well worth it. Check these babies out...
Those don't look like they fit a Lightning.
J/K I guess a 555 CI Lightning would run pretty strong too.
Those must be for the Super Comp Car. Those are nice.
I always run coated headers and exhaust now. Much easier to maintain. I've found a guy here in LA who does it cheap. Did both my Cobra Sidepipes for $160. Jet hot wanted almost $400.

Jay, how's the quality of the coating that your local shop does? Durability is a big issue for me since the headers come on and off a lot...plus JET-HOT puts up contingency money in the NHRA
Is the process your local shop does similar to JET-HOT's?

The local shop here does pretty good work. they are in thebusiness of coating aricraft turbine and afterburner parts, so I assume it's a similar process.
I'll post a couple of pic's of the sidepipes that they did for me a coupe of years ago. They are still pretty shiny.
BTW, the headers that I had done by MCCI burned off. The street motors sometimes don't get enough air flow and run pretty lean.
