Awsome Times @ Cecil!

Well Just got back from a great time @ cecil. we had some decent weather it rained at 1st in the morning then cleared out. the temps were in the high 60's to low 70's..thanx to Totaled! J/K! but all in all we had a pretty good day.. i finally made the 11 second club! with just bolt ons and *stock* manifolds and cats! this has been my goal for sometime now. and i'm glad i finally did it.. my 1st run i did a *rookie* 1 leg burnout and blowed the tires off! so i decided to just go ahead and get back in line even tho the engine was hot. well to my surprise i went 11.93 @ 112.65 with a 1.67 60 ft.man was i happy! especially since the engine was hot! i can always knock off 2 tenths when my engine is cold. there's no doubt i believe i could have went 11.70's if i would have ran it again. but i had damaged the the rear u-joint again! so i decided not to try it i was happy with the 11.93! I'l let everyone else tell their times! But Man o Man Totaled Stoled the show! Congrats to all....JL

Johnny way to go, awesome E/T

Whats going on with your driveshafts? Maybee your just making to much power. Looks like you better buy some stock in a driveshaft manufacturer.

Ya I heard Totalled ran in the 11's

I wish I could have gone, but had to look at houses.

Way to go JL!! I REALLY wanted to come, but with the pooch recovering, it wasn't possible. Lisa works on the weekends, and we can't leave him alone yet.

You deserve to wrap up the season with an 11, you've worked hard for it. Also, I heard what Totalled ran, and all can saw is that's AWESOME. I won't let the cat out of the bag, but for those wondering, let's just say there is a new fastest non-nitrous truck out there .

JL, how much longer is Cecil open? I do plan to run our 01 a few more times this year and would like to make some Cecil passes if possible.

Congrats John, I believe you are the first L in the 11's with stock exhaust aren't you. Now you can do something with your exhaust and get a little deeper into the 11's.

JL,

Today was a good day at Cecil!!! (Not counting sitting through about 2 hours of rain....)

Congrats on your new best.

Now how about "Full Trim"?????

My best was 12.45 @ 109...Full Trim all the way....

I think I gotta get those 15" rims to start chopping the times even further.

How about that one car, went through the traps at 223 MPH...Like 5 or 6 secs.... It had an awesome paint job too!! I think it was called "Grave Robber" or something like that.

Jim, tell us about your new time......I was getting some fries when you ran. Also, what mods have you added??

It was good to see everyone.

Later

WTG Johnny !!! You really deserved this man. As hard and I do mean hard as you have worked for all of the JL equipped "L"'s out there, creating some of the fastest 'vette stompin machines in the country for all of us to enjoy. Big salute from this 'ol Marine. Now, head on out to IND with your dad and lets finish the season off with a 14 pointer

Franko

Thanx A lot! I really appreciate you guys being happy for me. this has been my goal to show everybody that it can be done with *stock* mainifolds and cats! I know for a fact if i put long tubes on with some tweeking in the program i could drop off easy .3.. i know because ive been doing some testing with the long tubes! not on my truck but on the *FASTEST* NON NO2 Lightning in the country! And the fastest FULL weight! Non NO2 Lightning in the country! But i don't believe i'll be putting the long tubes on my 99 because i'm seriously considering selling it for a 01..To start the new season out with a new Lightning! Anybody Looking for a 11 sec. JL Equiped Lightning? Cecil Will be open up till dec. 11th maybe we all can get together before the SNOW flies! Thanx again and i hope everybody post their NEW times soon... JLP
