First of all the club is gaining momentum, and is making a strong comeback in spite of alot of neglect, were working very hard to make the club member friendly.
Nobody said anything about the club not doing well. Your comment "in spite of a lot of neglect" is just another jab at me, for something you know nothing about.

Seems to me,and I know I'm not mistaken that at one time the previous President wanted to combine the board and their business, and that didn't fly,and now I'm hearing that very person saying nobody that is a vendor should be a moderator on the board,so what is it????
I had a feeling you'd bring that up. Aside from the fact that what I planned to do with the club in the past is none of your business, what you are referring to is a little different than what people were discussing in that other topic. Since I owned both PSP and the NLOC, my plan was to intergrate them together. This way club members could get deep discounts on our products, and at the same time, PSP could offer some serious tech to the newsletters and members. The difference between what I planned to do and having a major vendor support the club over others, is that I owned both so there was no choice. The benefit of what I was going to do, was that both companies would help it's "people" even more than they could on thier own.

It's very easy to sit back and talk the talk, but a bit harder to walk the walk.I must say I'm very proud at the way the club and it's members have forgiven the past neglect and are moving forward with us.
It's kind of funny you use that phrase because you've talked a WHOLE LOT of talk so far and there hasn't been much walk. Many people have approached ME, as the founder and former president of the club, asking my opinion as to if I think you will be able to live up to what you are promising. Oh, and once again, in that paragraph you take another shot at me when you don't know what you're talking about.

I also have left the door open for any vendor to support the NLOC,so if your a vendor and you don't have a place on the board to represent your company and products it's by your choice.
Hmmm, well I've expressed to you that I want to help out as much as I can with the club as a vendor, and yet you've never contacted me about a place on the board, or even asked about what I am willing to offer to club members. That "open door" must have a doorman only letting in certain people.

I'm sure if we wanted to we could post faults with all the vendors in one area or another,I know that to be a fact.So what this all boils down to is that if something is working, and people are progressing past the bashing and "tuner wars" all the boards would be better off.
That's a great statement, you should try it sometime.

Now I hear talk of the NLOC being JDM"S personal site,I know that isn't true!Nobody, and I mean nobody has given anything to the club except the members, and the staff that has put many hours in to correct many wrongs. Our club is doing business above board, with complete financial reporting and fiscal responsibility.
Nobody said the NLOC was becoming JDMs personal site. My statement simply pointed out a mistake made in the past on another board, and some advice to you Jerry, to avoid making that mistake yourself. It's called "helpful advice".

Now you can take this for what it's worth and I'm sure a lack of maturity will surface, but the NLOC is alive and healthy, anyone thinking differently, just come to WFC5 there will be 100 L's there and the MAJORITY of them will be sporting the NLOC logo.
No arguement there. How many Lightnings with the NLOC logo show up is all dependant on you now.

I have tried to stay off this board, and tend to the business of the NLOC,but at times a bit of the truth must surface and this is the truth. If you have a problem with a vendor, call them, fax then,do what you must do,but the problem you have with any vendor is a problem with them ,make sure you can document your problem and then pursue it.If I had a problem with anyone for a prolonged period of time it would have been solved long ago.
Wow. That's some seriously funny stuff. You obviously have a problem with me, but you don't call, fax or e-mail. You just come on public forums and make accusations about stuff that you haven't "documented". Amazing.

Well I'll retreat to my members and their needs, everyone is welcome to be a member or supporting vendor whatever the case may be.But we at the NLOC are very united, and will remain as such.
Funny, I don't feel welcome. I am a member. I am the FIRST member. I have a lifetime complimentary membership. I'm also "supposed" to be a supporting vendor. Yet I have not gotten anything whatsoever from the club to back either of those up. I guess it's just pick and choose who YOU like.

I'm sure this thread will be attacked and locked but so be it. J MAN
If you have to make a statement like that, then it seems to me that you have posted something you feel is not appropriate.

Now it's time for a very rare appearance of the part of me that is pissed the heck off...

Jerry, I really don't know what your deal is. You've been slamming me on public forums even before I turned the club over to you. When we talk on the phone, you're sweet as pie. Then you come on the boards and slam the heck out of me for things you had nothing to do with, or know anything about. The words you post make it seem like you've devoted your life to the NLOC, but your actions say that you're simply doing what suits YOU, not the members. I've tried to lend my support to the club with PSP, but you are not interested. That doesn't seem to me like a decision "for the members". The hard truth is, you've got your head so far up JDMs azz, that what you are trying to do is no different than what you slammed me for trying to do with the club. I had the rights to the WFC5 Sponsorship and I extended half of that to the NLOC, as a courtesy. You turned around and gave that sponsorship to JDM, and Jim was going to let you have a "booth" in his vendor space. So you got pissed when you told me this and I told you that my offer was for you, not anyone else, and took the sponsorship back, and then I offered to help the club out any way I could for the WFC5. You come on the boards and slam me, but do you have any idea the amount of people that aren't happy with YOU running the club? You might want to wake up and smell the coffee. The fact is, you are not making decisions in the clubs "best intrest", you are making decisions to your "best intrest".

Sorry to all here for this kind of post, but I've just about had it with this crap.

Thumbs up

Sal and Doug......Excellent Posts

Hey Jerry !! I'm one of the peaple, wondering if I should send my shirt and sticker back.

Dont get me wrong, I like Jim and JDM's products. But I don't worship the guy.

I think the NLOC is capable of being big real big. And it needs a president who understands politics.

As you know we didn't sponsor a class at WFC5 because we didn't have funds to do so. I will admit that I was a bit upset that we weren't given a bit more time to come up with the money but you know how that opportunity came and went,it was nobodys fault.

I called you and told you that yes we wanted your technical support,I didn't want to ask you for money to run the club, you know your welcome to become a sponsor just as LFP and JDM are.And you know if you should decide to do this you know we'll get it done, and you'll be onboard.I'm just gonna leave it at that Sal.
I'll call you on monday, see if you want to be a sponsor, think about it,thats all.
Jerry

I have read most of the posts on this subject and I don't think there is a good answer.
What bothers me is to go from one site to another and see people arguing about one thing or another. We lose alot of Lightning owners from these forums because they don't want to deal with negativity all the time.
I have been a member of the old "Lightning Club of America" with Jim and loved it, then got frustrated when Mr Kesse took over the club and joined the "National Lightning Owners club" when Sal started it. I still see JDM, and Sal and other tuners at the track , and take every opportunity to chat with them because I know they have a wealth of knowledge of these trucks that not many can can say.
I thank Jerry for taking over the club and putting an effort into it because with out it, what else do we have>?
I hope through it all, you remember one thing; that you got involved with the Lightnings because you loved the trucks, and want to be a part of that experience.
Take the time to talk to the other owners, and don't forget that they are there for many of the reasons that originally drew you in.
take care

John

Thanks for a Positive post to close this one on....

Lets all think postitive.... Jerry and his team have a big job ahead of them. John is absolutely right we are all here cause we love the trucks. All these sites are ways for us to share and meet.

Lets all move on and look forward to the next event. After all if it werent for Lightning owners like you guys I wouldnt have had a couple Bonedaddys babes on my lap the other night. I had a pretty tough week and the babes were a nice touch that started the upswing for my week. I leave it to you to find the evidence.
