Whippersnappers have the upper hand? Yeah I remember those lazy hazy days of living with Mom and Dad- I too thought I had the world by the b@lls. Graduation present? I got a calculator (1984).

It's not especially hard to have a nice set of wheels when you're young. The trick is holding onto it through,
A) First Marriage
B) Buying a House
C) Birth of kids
D) Divorce, remarriage and all that other crap that surprisingly comes after graduation. Just wait.

I'm 35 AND bought my '01 for myself.

I better sign off, I'm starting to sound like my own Dad 15 years ago!

Haven't made it to 'D' on the list yet, hope not too- although there wer times when I wished I had a prenup!

She's put up with me buying and trading new cars at a rate better than one per year for the past 6 years, the HDTV that mysteriously appeared in the living room one day, more computers than mission control, and all the other stuff that if it either 'runs on gas or plugs in it's for me'. Don't think I can do any better than that.

Auburn University grad '94

What's up with some of youz guys getting an L for graduation. That doesn't seem balanced. All I received was a diploma so I could earn income to one day get something like an L.

Disgruntled in Bham.

24 years old, grad from Georgia Tech in 1999. The L is my first "new" car and present to myself for landing a new job.

Wow, I saw this thread a few months ago and there weren't half as many people in their 20's. Where are all the old fogey's anway? Did someone already put them out to pasture? J/K

What redlightspecial said in his first post. I havent experienced the big D neither........dont want to. Im 35 and been married 13 years. I bought the L for myself as a play toy. She puts up with all my new firearms and r/c trucks that keep showing up! Not to mention all the mods for the L I sneek through the door when UPS show's up!! Better to get forgivness than permission I reckon.
Alot of young "whippersnappers" owning these trucks! I would have killed to have something like this at your age!!! I was too busy battling hormons and worried too much about where I was gonna get my next piece of a$$!! Enjoy being young, carefree, and single while it lasts!! Reality will throw a monkey wrench in your little world shortly!

I'm 17 senior in high school. Saw it, drove it, couldn't resist it. Bought it and did my part to keep the economy going.
