Still Another Newby!
Hi Guys,
I've been checking things out around here for a couple of weeks, and decided it's time to say "hello" to everyone.
I have had my '01 L for 2 weeks. The only thing I have had done so far is a K&M panel filter and tint on the front windows. As you can see from the picture below, mine is the killer looking bright red, which I think is the fastest color. BTW, does anyone know how many of each colors were made for the '01 model year?

I am sure you have made some people jealous with 2 red Fords...
Dont forget you can edit your post to add more content if you want...
There is a post within the last month or 2 that lists the total 2001 production broken down by color. I am too busy making coffee to do the search for you but it shouldnt be hard to find...

drmoore: Yes, I love my truck! I was originally looking for a Gen1 but ran across this one, and with the interest rates as low as they are, I couldn't resist!
I am thinking about installing a MagnaFlow muffler to give it a little more growl. I have heard they sound really good.
What is really surprising to me is that my L can hang with my snake, and the snake has a few bolt-ons!!

Still another Newby
I also just subscribed after buying my '01 Lightning. I bought the Black '01 and had a "candy Burple" sttripe done to set mine off a little. As yet, I have only 900 miles on it, and am still being kind to it for the break-in period. Will be taking it to the GrandAm/ HSR race at Daytona this weekend, so that will be the first road trip. Come by and see me at turn 6 if you are there. I will be working that section of the track all weekend.
