Great Road Trip & 130 MPH
Weather cleared the other day, and knowing snow was coming
(it did-4 inches the next day) I jumped in my truck for a last pavement only road trip. Not only was the weather clear, but temps were low and the truck felt strong. Another great thing about road trips in Alaska at this time of year is that there is hardly any traffic at all. You can go for miles without running into anyone. So I put on about 300 miles and headed home. On one straight stretch I figured I'd let it out a little more than I ever had and floored her to 130, and let off. You can definately feel the air damming up at that speed, but it felt stable and still had some pull. All in all a great day, will miss the road trips like this for next 5 months. Took some pics, here is a couple.
