Angry AAARRRRGGHHH!!! Hail!!

God I hate St. Louis sometimes. We had a }{ell of a storm blow through this afternoon... EVERY car in the lot has dimples, AND MINE TOO!

Anyone ever have hail damage repaired? I've got 2 dimples on the roof (maybe more, but not as noticeable) and about 8 - 12 dimples on the hood... Are the roof ones fixable?

Anyone think I can swindle a new cowl induction hood out of this? My blasted deductible is $500...

Got a friend who's cousin is an owner of Dent Wizard... but I guess it's still not going to be free. From what I hear, the roof is the most $$, since they have to have the headliner removed to get at it.... ugh. More days without the truck.

Maybe I'll wait till then to remove the chip to send back for a new program...hmmm

i went to school @ Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green when in stormed baseball size hail.(storm started in Nashville.
all the cars in the parking lot were hit with golf ball size hail, it was much worse in town.

i had a explorer @ the time and they had to replace the hood, both front fenders, and two windows , oh yeah and pull the top off and replace it and fill two small places on the side+ paint. it needed new paint anyways.

i was pissed @ first, but it will not change the situation.

look at the bright side- you can get a new hood, maybe a roll pan or something and fresh paint for only $500 bucks.
not too shabby.
make sure they paint the whole truck!

that storm is headed for me @ louisville right now, thank God for the garage!

good luck

Jeff

Sorry to hear My L stayed inside today

Go ahead and get the cowl hood. Will look great on your truck. It's heavier than stock, maybe it'll slow you down so I can keep up.

Here are some pics the top two are the "egypt" parking lot one was from my dorm room,22nd floor.
The other two are in town (baseball size hail) poor cars.
and the bottom 2 are of my explorer in the process .

01-bolt, yes i go to the valley every wed.
no i have never run my truck there, well not yet , more mods needed.
I live in the middletown area.
wed is halloween, don't know if i will make it but will try.

also it would be nice to get a svt or lightning chapter in louisville, i would be willing to help in that, i am a graphic designer and photographer. ---let me know if you all meet regularly.
if you go to the valley you have probable seen me taking photos right by the track or video.
and let me tell you they don't like that too much.(and no guys i was not using a flash) my buddy has a drag car).

Indy had hail too

Max,

Sorry for your damage.

After a tip from a pal I took a 'break' and flew home to exchange vehicles.

As soon as I got the L safe inside and back on the highway with Mrs. Speedy's vehicle, the s}{it started.

About 1/4" in diameter...

stopped under the nearest bridge for about 15 minutes.

Hope the Dent Wizard can address this.
