Tell me about the line valve mod

I did a few searches and came up empty. I'm assuming it's an internal tranny mod to increase the line pressure?

All info is welcome.

It's a simple install. You drop the pan and remove the filter then the valve body. Switch out the line valves and reverse your steps. Works great!

At the risk of self promoting, check out Sal's web page for the Factory Tech accumulator, or do a search. Granted I designed this kit, so I'm not an impartial observer, but between you, me and the chickens, I think it's botha a better mod and a much better value.

Thumbs up

I love the Factory_Tech/PSP valve bodie. It really firms up the shifts. But after i got my chip back from Sal for my reburn with the 90mm wow. I had asked him if he could program the chip to get the tires to chirp they really didnt chirp the tires that much before but now after the reburn wow i get them to chirp into like 3rd. The install is easy drop the pan, drop the valve bodie then drop in the new Factory_Tech/PSP Valve bodie. Simple easy and no need to mess with any springs like i think you have to with the other kits.

i highly recommend the factory tech shift kit from psp.

the line valve mod is "NOT GOOD FOR THE TRANNY"

nor is just boosting pressure without the factory tech kit

save yourself some trouble down the road!

I also highly reccomend the F/T V/B. Don't forget to get a higher capacity tranny pan.

Thanks for all the replies, I was leaning that way, but now it's a plan.

Factory_Tech - I know alot of people say the line mod valve alone is not good for the tranny. But I have a question. I remember reading somewhere that JDM's line mod was part of the level 10 kit (don't know about JL's). Anyway, how would you rate your shift kit compared to the level 10 shift kit in terms of better for the tranny? ( I'm not referring to the $650 level 10 kit I read in a thread somewhere.)
