Well here in Arizona, we have a confirmed 2002 on order right now!
They originally projected November to order, but the MSRP sheet came in early. (Hasn't changed from 2001 BTW)
We got "X" plan no problem on the '02, but the financing will be determined when it comes in I believe.
We put down $500.00 to order.
Should be here in late March or early April.
No major changes that I could tell?
The sheet said CD changer is standard, and the only option was the bed cover, and a front plate bracket...
No white, and True Blue, new color changes...

Hope this helps!

BTW, if you want a 2000, I have one for sale!

Who did you work with at Gene Evans Ford? I just called and talked with some guy named C.D. Harris and he said that they don't do X-Plan on SVT products because on the same ole excuse:

"we can't sell those things at that price and still pay our SVT licensing fee" or something like that.

Whitesnake;
I wouldn't **** on the folks at Adamson Ford if they were on fire...They've got the lousiest sales and service staff I've ever seen, and I've seen a few. Two years ago I bought a '99 Cobra from them that was a lemon. The car should have never made it to the sales lot. I ordered the car, but was deployed (USAF) when it came in. They told my wife that if she didn't pick up the car they would sell it to someone else and we would forfeit our deposit, or they would charge her to store it on the back lot. She went down and picked it up, and just parked it until I got home. It had all kinds of problems with the paint, interior, and drivetrain. I left it there for a week with various problems while we were out of town, and when I came back they hadn't done a thing except put 60 miles on it. One of the problems was the infamous vibration in the '99s, but I had other problems as well, including electrical and body. The first guy supposedly drove the car, determined the problem was in the diff, and parked it for their 'diff' guy to look at. They didn't fix the paint, radio, body trim, or even change the oil like I requested. They said the 60 miles put on the car was 'trying to reproduce the problem'. This was the last straw in an already poor relationship. Later, when Ford bought the car back, Adamson took the maximum time allowed by law to refund the extended warranty (The dealership has to actually refund your money, not Ford).
However, I got just the opposite treatment at Carl Gregory Ford in Auburn. They not only worked many hours to resolve the problems with the car, they throughly documented it. This enabled me to prove the car was a lemon. I always got a free rental without having to ask. The mechanics there were very helpful, and spent a lot of time beyond the norm to try and resolve the vibration. They also documented the fact that my car after several visits to the Adamson Ford service dept still didn't have the basic service before sale prep work done. Regardless of where you buy your L, check them out, I can heartily recommend them.

x-plan in central Florida

new member here. I've been reading the posts regularly this past year and enjoy the wealth of info on the board.

I drove a new 2001 red L while on a business trip in the Houston area earlier this year, it was great.

Does anyone know of dealers in the central Florida willing to sell at x-plan price? also what financing are they able to gurantee since the 02's aren't going to be here for 6months?
