Question ? About Service Engine Soon Light

Yesterday i did the updated fuel pumps from the stock 155's to the new 255's. Truck was running fine all afternoon took her out again for a ride at nite truck was great and Jays Truck Trak bars really plant the *** and lanuches the truck got them put on yesterday to. Well after i came home from that ride at nite when i was pulling her in the garage i got a service engine soon light. Well this afternoon after work im gonna stop by my friends with the truck and he will put it on the scanner to see whats up with her hopefully it will be like a sensor he forgot to connect. But i was wondering if since i just put the upper pulley on and when i asked Sal if i would need a reburn for that he said that i should be alright and the truck was fine with just the upper pulley no lights. Now im wondering if with the new fuel pumps and the upper pulley that could be causing that service engine soon light becasue i might need the chip reburned to compensate for the more air and fuel thats going into the engine now? Well i will know this afternoon what it is after the scanner just wondering if anyone thinks that could be the reason i got that light. Any info would be great.
Thanks
Vin

Make sure you check the clamps on the fill and vent hoses connecting the gas tank. If any of them are loose this could cause a SES Light.

Thanks Don for the info. But im pretty sure that i found out what it was. This afternoon driving the truck back to work i was going and bam go to step on it wont give her any gas. Well there i am stuck on the highway so i get out look at everything all connected to the TB. But i noticed the linkage screw on the TB was loose and caused the linkage not to work and the TB butterfly wasnt opening so i wasnt going anywhere. So called AAA they came pretty first being a plus memeber helps hehe. Well got it back to my buddie where he works and he tighted the TB linkage screw so everthying is working fine now. When he hooked my truck up to the scanner it said that i got the light becasue truck was running lean in both banks. So i havent gotten the light back since he fixed the TB and cleared the lights. Also last nite i noticed that i had a squeal when i stepped on it and thought it was the blower belt well the squeal went away since the TB was fixed. Also talked to Sal and he said i shouldnt be getting a lean code so im guessing that it was from the TB being all screwed up. Also my throttle would stick a little before it was fixed now its fine. Well i had a fun afternoon but at least im ready for tommorrow nite at e-town.
