Sal looks awesome.
I have a few questions, are the pistons a longer skirt design, and what do they do for the compresion ratio in the engine.

Let us know what the streetability of the new components do for the truck.

I look foward to meeting you this weekend a E-Town.

Thanks
Don

Sal did you change the rods also, or just the pistons.

How do you like the Ross pistons? I was going to do the J&E pistons and the oliver rods in my motor.

Did you raise the compression on your motor also?

What is the word for people who can't rear (read)?......... OH yeah, illegitimate, no that's not it.................... OH, illiterate.....yeah that's it............. illiterate.

A long time ago Sal took the 1993-95 Lightning to the next step, and now he is taking the 1999-01 into the next step. I think this is a great idea. Now some of us have places to go with our 99's and 00's. All the data is out as for as how far a stock motor can go, so now its time to step up. You go Sal, so the rest of us have something to shoot for. All you newbie's just need to catch up with all the bolt ons available. Lets face it, if we all take these stock motors into the low 12's, they are going to blow. Might as well be ready for it, or stop at the mid 12's and live with it.

PS:
Leave my 95 alone, unless the price stays the same with the new motor in it.

Sal, that looks nice. I bet it'll run hard, and allow you reliability, so that you can push the limits and not have to worry about parts failures.

I think that if we all keep pushing our trucks, we will all need to have parts like that. With the new blower coming out & NOS, lookout 10's

I don't know much about the Gen1's or Sal's history, what did Sal to them?

What04 - with Jim's recently blown engine, my guess would be that we are nearing our limit with bolt-ons. If Jim's engine blew b/c of 17psi of boost, what's gonna happen with the new S/C's coming out? If 17psi can be gotten from stock blowers who knows what will come out of the new blowers after a little time. The tuners may have reached the limit on the power our engines can safely make, and anyone that wants to be faster needs to build up the internals to handle it.

Cool

I have to agree with 1BADTK. Sal's already running 11.9's on nitrous so if he going to the next step this is a good idea. He has already developed a lot of his parts for the 01 running at stock weight so he has been there and done that.

Nice setup Sal. It's to bad mine's not built like that.

BBQ,

My wife says I don't laugh enough....Evidently she doesn't see me read your posts. Believe it or not, that same thought ran through my mind when I put Manley valves in my Vette.

Sal,

Nice work as usual. If mine coughs a piston, I may need to ask you for specifics on your one-off's. I just hope mine doesn't destroy the block in the process.

Jim
