Question Need more power

Hello fellow lightning owners ...... I'm new to your team but fast becoming a lightning lover ! I'm looking to get rid of what seems to be a large hesitation on the bottom end......... my truck will barely spin the tires out of the hole ??? It pulls like the ****ens up top but I need help on the bottom !
I've added a superchip, K & N filter, 170 stat, and I'm waiting on the upper pulley ............ Any Suggestions or tips would be appreciated ..... :-)

Thanks Marc

Marc:

I'll give it a shot--I'm assuming you have a new 01? If so, just give it some time/miles; it will 'loosen' up at about 3,000 miles. Mine wouldn't spin 'em either but, man does it do it now (12,800 miles)!

If, on the other hand, it really is "a large hesitation" then pull the chip(after disconnecting neg. cable--turning on headlights--waiting 5 mins.--turn the h/ls back off--reconnecting the battery cable) and go back to 'stock'. What does it do then? No chip-still hesitates--see the dealer. No chip-no hesitation--try cleaning the PCM contacts(where you push the chip on)--most eng. problems found after installing a chip have to do with improperly/inadequately cleaned contacts. Don't scrape all the 'tin' off but you must get them 'clean'. Also, make sure you have the proper 'code' to match chip to computer.

If none of this 'works'---I'd contact the chip tuner.

Good luck,

Dan
