Question Lightning Easy To Drive?

For those of you who have owned a 1996-1998 chevy tahoe, 4dr, do you guys find the lightning easier to drive and park?

Thanks,

WAL

Same wheel base (or thereabouts). You figure it out.

Getting in and out of the back seat is more difficult in a Lightning. Other than that, they're identical.

Yeah, but that's mostly due to the stainless steel curb feelers

It's not hard to park. All you have to do is make sure it's in P, and sit there. If you want to get technical you could use the e-brake.

WAL,

The Lightning is very easy to drive and park. My daily driver is a 96 Nissan Kingcab 2.4L 5spd, and the Lightning feels like a giant compaired to it. But comming from a Tahoe, I dont think you will have any problems other than keeping your foot out of it .

I just traded in my 96 4 door yukon for a 2001 L last night, I havent had much experience with parking yet because i dont park near anyone. Its the same wheel base about. Its very easy to drive, the throttle is a little bit different, when you push it, its more relaxed then the yukon was, the brakes are out of this world though, VERY VERY nice in my opinion comapred to the yukon, you tap them and you start stopping, in the yukon the pedal was mushy, steering in the lightning is very responsive, you turn it and wooo it turns, the yukon was lazy, theres like almost 0 body roll in the L, its so amazing, its a wonderful truck, im just so paranoid on trying to take care of it

I have problems parking the L...I just gotta keep on driving. I don't think I'd have problems parking the Tahoe.

The big difference is the turning radious on a Chevy is huge compared to Ford. On a Chevy most parking lot spots are a two step project. They are a pain. I have driven chevys for years b4 I jumped ship and got the L. The company fleet has 10 Chevy and 3 Fords (Including my L. )
