Thumbs up 12's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! finally......

After 3 weeks of trying to snap 12's I finally did it. I went from running my rear tires at 25psi the last two weeks at the track to 35 psi and the truck hooked up like mad, I couldnt believe the difference. My best 60' time prior to tonight was a 1.99 and averaged 2.0+ 60'

Ran 12.86 @106 w/ a 1.88 60' <-- my buddy was driving it
12.95 @ 106 w/a 1.91 60'
12.93 @ 105 w/a 1.92 60'
And a 13.3 vs MXRacer but I was in the crap left lane notorious for poor traction haha, we all know thats the only reason why he won

MXRacer also had a great night but I won't spoil it, I'll let him tell you guys...

Al

andrewjhaley, I put about 500 moderate (didnt hammer it MUCH) miles on the truck before I put my mods on. I was at the track the first time with my JL ram air and JL chip with 600 miles. Ordered the pully and line mod and installed them with about 800 miles on the truck. Truck has just over 3000 miles on it now.

Hey Al,
Congratulations! Knew it was just a matter of time , you've been knocking on the 12 second door for awhile! Did you figure out why you were dumping boost afew weeks ago? Missed you at the Truck Nationals. I'm done for the season, getting my I/C swapped out next week. Maybe we can set up a cruise some w/e after the track closes?

Congrats, it sure feels good.

Check out my sig. All the parts below were put on before 400miles and was at the track just before the I reached the 400mile mark. I will be going to the track on Friday to see if it has loosened up any. Will be changing oil and going to the NGK TR7 plugs (thanks Johnny) today.

Nice times Probie. Feels good don't it ?
I personally have NEVER been able to hook the F-1's. The
only way I made it to the 12's was by running E/T's at
12 to 13 pounds, and I can still spin the **** out of them.
I took my truck to the track at 300 miles.
Once again, congratulations and nice times.

Marc

Thanks guys, feels great finally being able to run 12's consistently. If it wasn't for all the great informative posts from everyone and especially JL it would have never happened.

Ed, I never figured out why I was losing boost but I disconnected the boost clip to avoid it from happenign again.
