Explain this Build # oddity.

Got my build number, 290, and it was built on 1/19. Looking at the list Canyon Runner is 302 and his build date was 1/18.

Don't give me ***** about black even being slower off the line! Remeber black was the first to hit the 11's on motor.

What gives????? BTW mine has the Eaton stamp on the blower and an 99/00 third light.

NfS, give me your VIN and I'll run it online with Ford and check your actual build date to see if it's correct.

Hello NFS :

I just heard very recently, although I can find no documentation to point at , that up to the first 1000 2001 Lightnings came with the regular F150 third light assy. because the l.e.d. lights were not available at the time.

I work for Toyota and occasionally if there is a problem a vehicle will be in "off line repair" overnight or possibly longer, so its date being complete could be later than when it was built. hope that makes sense. Off Line could be for any thing by the way not just major repair, it could be a paint issue somwhere on it or door/hood alignment etc.

Sal - Thanks for the offer.

The VIN is 2FTZF07361CA41796

Friday the 19th. Bad window motor and missiing clips for the aero panel.

At least the motor seems to be strong. With 800 miles on the odometer my basline dyno numbers were 356rwhp and 420 ft/lbs of torque.

NfS, your truck was built on the 19th. Oh, and you have an open seat belt recall .

Sal -

Thank you so much. Looks like my truck came off the line for something. I will get the seatbelt done with the window motor and aero panel.

I will be in touch to talk about your tranny kit. I hurried out and bought a trans-go kit and I'm getting the feeling that your offering is far superior than that or just the valve body.

Thanks again,

Jeff
