Who's got 99/01 parts on their 01?

I thought I knew my truck pretty well until somebody in Ennis pointed out the fact that I didn't have the LCD bedlight on my 01. I knew it had changed but never thought of that in the 8 months I've been and owner. Not sure I care for the 01 so what to do? Makes you wonder if they got the motor right! Who else has seen them reaching into the previous years part bins?

You are exactly right. I seem to remember a new guy cryin' about his 01 lights. That would bother me alot more than what happened to me.

I had that exact problem. Its called a factory error.According to Ford the dealer is supposed to inspect any new year revised parts and report it to Ford within 24 hrs of receiving vehicle.I noticed mine 3 days afterwards but the dealer took care of it.It is really the dealers responsiblity. I would go to where you bought the truck and let them know.If need be ask for the service Mngr. or even the general mngr. to get it.You shouldn't have a problem.
