Unhappy Lightning gone...:(

It is with heavy heart that I must report that after 8 years of Lightning Loyalty (my 2001 was my third) that I am without a Lightning for the first time since 93. I decided after 10 years of marriage that it was my wife's turn to drive what she wanted and now we have a 2001 Mustang GT. I'm not thrilled, but there were worse ways to go. At least she did not want a Beetle!! I will seek to return to my SVT roots someday, but I have been driving what I wanted since we got married and she has been driving the "practical" vehicle. I will keep up with the Lightning community through all you guys. Keep me in the loop! Rob

At least you made it 10 years. lol. Let's new GT could be paid off early with a little O/T, maybe just intime for the 03 L's.

Hope Im not Next

Sorry to hear about your loss. I have only had my L for a month or so and my Fiancee has had her 2001 Mustang GT for about 6 months. I traded in my 98 F150 XLT 4x4 for the L because I couldnt stand her having a faster ride than me. I'm guessing that in about 2 years we will start our family and one of us is gonna have to go practical. i'm hoping that its not me. Good luck with your withdrawls man.

Rob;

Sorry to hear about your 'down-grade'. Have you ever driven at Roebling Road(2.02 mile road course)? It's 10 or 12 miles NW of Pooler, off of Hw'y 80. I use to 'driver's school' my Z281LE there with one of the Porsche clubs. You' have fun driving the Stang(or the missing L) in the twisties. Let me know if you want more info.

Dan

Feels better knowing the support is here. That's why I want to stay in the community. Will there be a 2003??? I can make it that long. Thanks for all the encouraging words.
