First Time at the Track!
First of all, I just want to say hello to everyone. I have been visiting this site for a while, and just recently started to post.
Like the subject states, this was the first time I've been to a track. So, I was a little nervous, well, more like a lot nervous. But Once the light turned green, it all went away.
I must say, It was an absolute blast. I am officially addicted!
It is only an 1/8 track; I really want to go to a 1/4 mile now!
Here are the details of the day:
2001 lightning
- spare and jack
+ mtx thunder form sub/amp
- muffler (straight pipes)
5/8 tank of 91 octane gas
temp: 40-45 (minnesota)
27 lbs in the F1s
By best 2 runs were:
Run1:
60' 1.880
MPH 84.45
E/T 8.538
Run2 (on brake, and still broke out)
60" 1.892
MPH 83.33
E/T 8.536
I must say I am very happy with those times, got to love frigid Minnesota
I kind of wish I would of kept on the throttle for my last run, just to see what I would of got. I would like to see what it will do in the 1/4. Any guesses?
Thanks!
Dan

retics4me,
I won't be able to make it this weekend. I'm going to be up in the Fargo/Moorhead area. I'm going to check to see if they are still running, but I think last weekend was their final night, the schedule on their web page is for 2000. I'm also thinkning about heading down to cedarfalls on the 27th or 28th. Man, I wish I would of started this sooner! I hate Snow!
