Being in NY, I have heard some inside information from people involved with the WTC clean up and investigation. I just heard this morning, about a new theory that people who were "culturally related" (to be used as a politically correct term) to those invovled with the attack were fore warned somehow. Two NYC cops who spent thier days monitoring the area in front of the WTC every day, noticed on the morning of the 11th, there was not one city cab in sight in near the WTC. They commented that there are usually 30 cabs at any given time parked in front of the WTC. These cabs are all driven by Afgan/Ismlamic (or whatever term you wish to use) people. After furthur investigation, authorites are now finding that on that morning, ALL the stores in the immediate area of the WTC that were owned by the same culture of people, were closed, gates down.

 

i really hope thats not true! considering the life that the US gave these people . i think we have to start closing our borders and quit letting just anyone in . We are not obligated to take in every political refugee or just because these peoples counties suck ..! think theres should be better monitoring going on when peoples come to our country.. for any of you that have been out of the US you know we are pretty laid back compaired to most counties ..and im not being racist my wife is from the Philippines and she APPRECIATES what the USA STANDS FOR !

I am in the military and have served for 28 years. This was a bad and terrible act of terrorism that will forever change our lives. The people and countires responsible for this action are terrorist and should be held accountable. Accountable takes on all sorts of meaning form being tried by a court of law or their body becoming small parts of the landscape where they are found.
However, having lived all over the world I do feel everyone is this country has the right of freedom. No matter what your religion or ethnic origin. I hope and pray we the people of the USA never condem someone for their religious beliefs. Terorrism is done by terrorist and not by a supreme being. I do not profess to be a scholar of all the relgions in the world, but have been exposed to enough of them around the world to realize terrorist acts or suicide is not taught as a basis fundemantal foundation of these religions. Look at Northern Ireland and you will see this is not a true religious war between Catholics and Protestants..... it is a hate war about civil rights.
I always keep in the back of my mind the Oklahoma City bombing and wonder when another home grown fanatic terrorist will strike. I sincerly believe our leadership has let the world know that this war we are in today is not about religion, but about terrorist. Hopefully we can all keep the 2 seperated and not do the barbaric acts we did to the Japanese American citizens in WWII.
I only can state my personal point of view and would die to defend your views or anyone elses in this great country of ours... the United States of America.

 

Well said, Masterloggie! This is about terrorism and retaliation for what was done to the United States, it should have nothing to do with religion or ethnic background. It only has yo do with what was done to the U.S., and I would like to think that everyone in the millitary thinks like you, and understands that we aren't bombing out of hate, but we are bombing out of retaliation and to get Bin Laden. There are innocent people of that particular faith and ethnicity all over the world, and they ALL can't be held responsible, only the people that had a part in or supported the terrorist attacks. Retaliation, not prejudice!

Amen to that. My family needs some type of revenge after loosing my cousin in the Towers. The TALIBAN are nothing but cowards, and they will ALL DIE a painful death.

If what you say is true, that is those in-country Afgans, Pakis, or whatever has some first hand knowledge that something bad was going to happen to the WTC, and did not notify the authorities, then they definitely have no place in this country. They should at least be deported immediately. But that will never happen.

Now it is possible some did raise some concern with the authorities, but where ignored. I am pretty sure none of these foreigners had any first hand knowledge of what exactly was going to happen.

But it sure would take a powerful rumor to keep those people from their jobs or businesses on 09/11.

Incidentally, those NYC cops mentioned above must have been very lucky or found something else to do real quick at 0845 hours 09/11/01.
