Thumbs up Group buy

I think this group thing could work out, it sounds like enough people like this idea, hell 1200 people have already viewed this thread in 2 days!!! That is one bad a$$ setup. I'll bet that extra air helps the whine too

Hopefully someone will get some info for a group buy.

I think it is a great idea too and well executed. To my eye I think I would like to see a slightly larger intake but thats just me. I would also be curious if there are any provisions for dumping rainwater out of the system?

Very Very Nice Indeed.

Guys, No need for a bigger shaker. I have about 3/4" of clearance from side to side of the shaker and the hood opening, I noticed yesterday at the track that when I left the line the shaker moved ALL the way to the right !!! It's pretty cool to see the motor torque like that

Joe,

Not quite yet in Viper territory, just a lot of elbow grease and good friends in the right places.

Hey Rob, the hood looks great. Actually the whole truck looks great, you've got one of the nicest looking Lightnings out there. It's not overly flashy, but your attention to detail on all the small stuff adds up to the overall great look.

The hood is sweet. I spent some time with Terry at the WFC, talking about hoods and such. He showed me the set up on his Explorer. I love the way Terry uses the hood itself to direct the air! I wish he was closer to me, I would have had him do my hood, but I'm happy with the outcome done by a local guy. BTW, I like the orange, is gives the truck that "60s" musclecar look, complimenting the shaker. Something else that would look cool, is to put the engine size on either side of the shaker, like the old 351 and 428 CJ cars.

I've spent the last four months going from Speed Shop to Speed Shop throughout Southern California looking for somebody willing to do something like this. Only one taker and I'm on a two month wait list just for him to spec it out.

The only difference is that I envisioned a chromed or polished stainless unit with a little more elevation and (permanently) opened butterfly gates on the front.

Your truck is a masterpiece.

Now, going to do something else...

I have to hand it to guys like Rob and High Roller; they go way beyond us bolt-on guys and that is what hot rodding is all about. I wish I had the time and creativity to execute some of this stuff. I would like to see the underside of High Rollers ram air system.

Rob - Nice job on the details like the water drain. Should've known you wouldn't leave any stone unturned.
