MTX Tunderforms mounting

When installing thunderforms did anyone cut off the studs that mounted the factory tray or did you leave them there? It seem's to fit ok with the studs there but I was wondering if it would vibrate if they were left in.

I think most people just cut off the studs. I mounted my Thunderform on a sheet of plywood that was drilled with holes to match the CD changer bolts. This way I can return the truck to stock if I want, and it gives more sound insulation under the subs.

I left my studs there. Seems to work just fine, no vibrations. If anything, I would do like LOCOSVT and make some kind of base to match the studs. I just can't imagine cutting on my truck
