quick magnaflow ?

i did run the search and read some mixed reviews.
i just want to know if i will lose anything by running the magnaflow.
not looking/expecting any gains, just want a little more sound without suffering a loss.
is this the right choice for me?

See a post on the 'Computer chips' board on 'chips and exhaust'. Mike Troyer goes onto some detail on his 'tests' of several mufflers. it looks like the Magnaflow was best/

I have the MagnaFlow on my truck. I don't know if it gave me any more power, but I didn't loose any. I like the sound, just a little louder than the stock muffler, and no drone in the cab

what Don and 'Rod said.

Didn't seem to lose any power yet gained a nice sound with a Magnaflow.

Good mod.

I 2nd everything Don C says. I bought the 14568 (14468 is shorter version. Louder? don't know) and love it. After about 1000-1500 miles on it, it got noticably louder than when first installed.

Great sound gain, no power gained or lost.

Talking

This is what the 12468 (shorter of the 2 models) sounds like.

I had the magnaflow 12468 installed. The truck is certainly louder, especially after you get about 100 miles on it.Its louder but not obnoxious. No gain or loss.
