Question ok black or silver? (taking a survey)

ok guys it down to black or silver. i had white with the 99 so i dont want that and red doesnt interest me that much but it does look good. so i came down to silver or black? im thinking silver, because my dad has a black truck and you can see everything when its dirty, but it does look good when clean. what do you guys think?

I was torn too. I've decided on Silver. I think it looks better with the wheels, and is easier to keep clean. But black would look killer with chrome wheels and when wax too many times it looks awesome. D@mnit... you got me messed up again, . I've found a black & silver south of ATL GA. But I've also found a black N of ATL that will give me A-Plan for my X-Plan . ($27,625 - Yes I've got a quote.) Just wish my finances said go ahead.

My advice, take them both for a test drive and see which one happens to be stronger. They're both supercharged on the inside. Good luck with your decision.

Thumbs up SILVER!!

Easier to maintain and it's not as commonly seen (around here at least). The only Silver Bolt here I've seen is my bro-in-laws '00.

I was torn to but I decided on Silver. I had a black Cobra and had to be constantly cleaning it our I hated the way it looked. Silver is much easier to keep clean and here in Florida where it rains almost every day in the summer I wanted something I didn't have to wax every day.

Silver also does not attract as much attention when in a crowd which is helpful with the cops.

I went in to buy the black L, all pre-arranged. On my way into the dealer I saw the silver one they had out front, brand new also. We did all the paperwork on the black L and they took me out to it, never drove one before, just knew I wanted an L. When we got to the black L, it had obvious water-spotting all over it. The sales woman said they washed it twice and still couldn't get the water spots off. It made my mind wander back to the silver one out front of the dealership. I said I wanted the silver L. The sales woman screamed, threw up her arms and went home. The Finance guy was visibly tweaked, but the nice old sales manager understood and put together the paper for the silver L.

I would go with silver. I have a red one now and as nice as I think the truck looks....it is a major pain to keep clean. It ends up sitting in the garage waiting for a dry day (not many in s. florida!) and I don't really feel good about having the wife drive it and leave it somewhere where it would get all scratched up (like Publix, mall, etc...). I almost went for the trade up to a 2001 and was going for a silver one so I could relax and just enjoy the truck more and not have to worry about it. I could only imagine how tough black would be to keep looking nice---especially if you can't garage it or if ya have to use it as a daily driver.

I've got a black one. I drive it almost daily. It is a real pain to keep clean. I would probably go with a silver one if I buy another one.
If you're not going to drive it every day get a black one.

Black is a b!tch to keep clean but when it is clean it looks great. I wet Cherry my truck sometimes every week. One thing though if you have black you gotta have like a mist spray to get out water spots and other things to. Meguiers has a quick mist detailing spray thats pretty good. I use this stuff from this local guy by me good stuff.

i had a white 99 and really liked it a lot. it looked very very good. when i decided to buy an 01 i had all three colors to look at at once. i had a black car before and it really is a pain to keep clean. its actually very annoying. the silver just looks blah, people seem to feel its a stealth color, which in other words means its not as noticable. i like this truck to be noticed. thats part of the fun. i decided on red, and tons and tons of people are always asking about it. red looks the best, and it doesnt have to be totally clean all the time to look good. have you noticed that in all the brochures they show red. they do that because they know that red is the most striking.
