I have 4k on an unmodified 01 L. When I start it I get belt squeal and I may be getting it on WOT shifts. Isn't this a little early for a belt to be slipping? What could the problem be? Also,what is the purpose of a flip or multi-program chip. I don't tow or anything like that. I don't plan on running any higher octane than what's available at the pumps. I do want to race periodically. Help.

 

From my experience, it sounds like one of your pulleys (may need to be oiled or tightened) or a loose belt.

 

If the belt's loose what do I do? Doesn't it have a spring loaded tensioner?
