It was a short race!

For those of you who remember me and the funny numbers my slip was showing I know now why. The Moblie Intl. Speed Way 1/8th mile track is actually only a 600 foot track. Thats 60' short of the real thing. Everyone said to add 4 tenths to your time and its pretty close to a real 1/8th. I'm just going to start going to Atmore AL. or Hattiesburg Ms. to get some real times. I'll let ya know. But anyway its still stands that I ran an 8.774 with the stock airbox and an 8.365 with the bottom removed (at the same track), thats a pretty strong improvement 4 tenths. I think that proves the after market cone filters will be the way to go.
Hey easterislander did you get a chance to read the thread on the Av Gas octane I wrote for ya?

Yea it all makes sense now. These are my times before the mod and after.
r/t.....767...................736
60ft...2.158................2.057
1/8....8.774................8.365
mph...74.51...............77.84
So there was a great improvement. It was pretty hot both nights around 80 the first set of times and I know it was 78 on the cool night. It is going to be down in the 60's here soon though and that should make a huge difference.
Yea Twisted where do you want to go and when. Maybe you can show me some stuff.

tail lights?

Hey bfb do you think he could have seen my tail light from that far back. Man I had a good time Tues night, I was glad to see all the other L's show up. We had a Black, Red, White, and Silver Gen2 at the Mobile track, for all that were not there, and a White G1. I've came a long way since this thread was first posted I was kinda surprised to see it again. Lets get together and do it again. SOON
