Talking 12 sec. club!!!!!!!

Well until last night our best was 13.12 with a 1.979 60 ft at 105.86 mph thats with no ice downs, temps low 70's , F1's at 27-28 psi

We ran down to the track last night after work, but didn't get there in time to run. (they where already running the first round)
To make a long story short a friend of ours told us that we could make a run if we wanted to when they got down to a few cars, because they had to give them cool down time.

Sure I said and from there it was on, temp 57, truck was cold , kevin let the F1's down to 26 psi and said to bring the rpm's up this time to 1500 RPMs I always leave at about 1000 because it's test and tune when we go and they do not prepare the track BUT NOT TONIGHT they were hav'in a big meet and they were spraying traction compound down and he said if its going to hook it will be tonight.

well here I go, heated the tires up and pulled out of the burnout letting them smoke good, staged and brought the R's up to 1500 (felt like it was gone to push the L out of the lights ) here comes the tree and I let her have it all at once!!! O-boy it felt great didn't spin at all. It rips 2nd and is pulling like a train I KNEW IT WAS A GREAT PASS got a little scratch in 3rd still pulling super and there goes the 1320 lights as Iam slowing down I knew it was the best pass to date!!

Here it is ...

60foot-1.916

330- 5.394

1/8 et 8.272

1/8mph 85.37

1/4 et 12.876

1/4mph 106.84

kick butt can't wait till next week, well there you have it I guess I get to join the 12 sec club!! P.S. thanks to all the tunners for there hard work and great parts... and to all the L owners that post some great info. on this board and a BIG thank you to F150.com (steve and doug)

Lisa I am glad I was able to help you out. After all I have gotten a lot of help from many other members here, and at the track. If I ever make it out your way I will collect my xoxo

Thanks all

Don C- (lol)

J MAN - Just a little I hope when we get the E/T's on and try the other side of the chip

Marc Carpenter-"I personally have never seen them VHT the track but once again I am assuming you were at 42.." - Yes 42 is where we were at and they do spray traction compound down don't know if it's VHT or not but on saturdays(points meet) and all big 3 day meets they spray something down for traction.
Marc we will be down on friday if it doesn't rain but they are calling for it. Come on down if you can make it (just look for the silver 01) Ill be running the truck and kevin will be running a yellow firebird, hope to see ya.

Will try to make it Friday, although I was really planning on
going tomorrow (Wednesday) if it don't rain.
We have a duughter who wants to go to the home coming game
Friday, but maybe Dad can slip away. We will see.
Looking forward to meeting another 01 Silver owner.
