Truck-Traks Rule.....
RScoleman,
You can adjust the snubber forward and backward using on of the three holes predrilled into the Truck-Traks. You can also vary the height of the shubber, by adding a spacer under it.
The stud on the snubber is pretty short, so I am trying to come up with a way of moving it up and down quickly. I am also going to get a set of Bilstein's from 2001, to see if I can get the rear to squat harder and faster. The 99-00 shocks are stiffer, and I think that the 2001's will work better.
These production bars react surprisingly well compared to the protorypes. I redlighted twice. They are a lot lighter and move more quickly.
Mike, that 13.39 surprised me. Your truck runs real well with the limited mods. I guess they do work pretty well. You find that the better the traction, the better they will work. They require force to plant the tire, and in turn, get more force back as the truck lifts and transfers weight rearward.

Jay,
I gotta do some testing with these bars, want to find out what will give me the best traction
As those that were out at the speedway yesterday know - there was no traction after about 10 AM!
I'm still not quite sure how to set them up, so I will just do some trial-and-error testing. It might also be very helpful if someone (maybe, say, Spike Engineering) could put a video camera on the bars to see how they react at different positions... just a thought.
I'll send you a link to download that video of your run Jay, its at a bad angle almost directly behind you, so there's no perception of how much you beat the other car by, but it does clearly show the red light - just what you wanted

z28klr, the track was good early on. My first run was just after 10:00 am, and the track hooked well. After that it sucked. 400 cars all leaving rubber on the line.
My third run was about 3:00 PM, and the track was just plain slippery. A viper lost it and hit the wall just after the xmas tree.
Two oildowns and 92 degree temps didn't help. I slowed down a tenth with every run. I was car (truck) 156 and didn't get through tech until about 9:30. By then SvTLightning99 had two runs in, and was going on his third.
The secret to this track is be in line about 6:00 Am and run early.. go home at noon.
The track has potential, but will never be anything like Pomona.
