Help-Speed Scene Grille/2001 "L"

Has anyone with a 2001 L installed a main Street Scene Grille. I did not have a problem with the valance grille, but the main grill appears to be about an 1" short.

I have the grille shell off the truck and the factory grille removed from the grille shell. When I test fitted the new grille into to shell it was not wide enough to fill the hole.

Was I suppose to leave the factory grille in place and cover it up with the street scene grille?

The part number I have is 950-77718. I have checked with street scene and they say that is the correct part number.....so I do not know what to do next.......Thanks in advance

I ordered one for my 99L and the main insert was too short as well. What I did was straighten out the grill where it is bent in all around. so when u lay it on the ground it lays totally flat. Then I just layed it right on the facia and used the black clips that came w/ the grill and it sets in perfect...just be careful when bending the grill out to make it straight. I'm sure there may be another way of doing it but this worked for me.

The Street Scene Part # is 950-77718 and the JCW Part # is
47HS3869P. The bottom grille was no problem to install, guess I am just having a brain fart with the main grille. Good luck
