I need info on a Nitrous system for the 01'. I called Holley today and they said their kit would not be out for two months or so kit 05112. I saw the article in Sport Truck mag where SoCal installed one? Is it a pieced kit? I like the upgraded brackets and shiney bottle. I want an adjustable system 35-100 os so. Mostly a 50 shot. Venom kits are very expensive. So any part numbers, prices, and recommendations are appreciated.

 

I have had great luck with my Nitrous Express kit so far. the performance is all there and kit is awesome. Its a wet kit that is completely adjustable from 50 to 150 shot with the provided pills.

PSP sells a kit that contains evertyhing you could ever need to run the kit. I like it and I know its safer becasue of the added fuel.

Wow $1 grand is a lot to me. I was hoping for 5-600 range that is more than most of the NOS kits out there. How long does a 10lb bottle last at the 1/4 mile track with a 50 shot?

 

Just the NX kit is $600. But when you add all the other stuff (Purge, blow down, billit plate, 15Lbs bottle) it adds up. And acctually $1000 isn't bad for all of that stuff. The 15Lbs bottle alone can be ~$250. Then add in the purge, heater, blow down, plate. If your looking to use nitrous alot (at the drag strip), there are some things you will need that make you NHRA legal and run consistantly. Everything you could need, but two thing i could think of, is in that kit.

With a 50shot and a 10Lbs bottle, you should be able to make about 8-10 1/4 mile passes. We currently get about 6-7 passes on a 100 shot.

 

L8, the $999.00 price was for our package deal. We sell the regular EFI kits by themselves for $605.52. That's with the 15 lb bottle. If you have room for a 15lb bottle like we do with these trucks, it makes sense to run one. The larger bottle maintains pressure better, and it will be less trips to the fill station for you as well.

The reason we put together the package deal, is because it contains everything else you need for your nitrous system. You need a bottle heater to maintain proper bottle pressure. Too low and you lose power, to high and you blow your motor. You need a pressure gauge to tell the pressure . You need a fuel cutoff switch, because it shuts down the nitrous in case of loss of fuel pressure. And while you don't NEED a purge system, you should have one to get all the air out of the lines before using the nitrous, or you will have a period of lag.

As you can see, the other parts are pretty essential for a proper, safe, nitrous system. Yes it's pricey. Whoever came up with the statement "nitrous is cheap hp", obviously never used the stuff

But as I said, well sell it all seperate, so you don't need to lay down a grand in one shot. Hope this helps.

 

Is your bottle polished like the 15lb NOS bottle? I have a question about my 4way chip and lower pulley PSP of course. I feel like I am hearing detonation at full throttle when RPM is over 4 grand when boost is high. It never happened before the pulley mod. Have you experienced this with your programs? My chip was made around the first of May/ June.
