Well I was on my way to the health club last monday night and I was going to make a turn when I see the pretty blue an red lights behind me. So I pulled over thinking to myself what the heck did I do wrong, nothing I can think of. Anyway mr. cop comes up to my window and I look at him and say whats the deal officer, and he just starts gaulking at the truck and telling me about it. So he tells me that he's pulling me over because he caught a glare from the rear license plate cover and couldn't see it and also he thought my truck was kind loud. So I was in shock cause I just reinstalled my cats and the truck was half a loud as before. So needless to say I was kinda pissed about being pulled over for some chicken chit stuff. So I gave him my license and my insurnace and he did his little thing int he car. So he comes back and hands me this warning about the license plate covers (which are clear, and he said that there completely legal) and starts to check out the truck and ask me all kinda of stuff. So I tell him and he's happy, really a cool guy but I just didn't see the need for the warning ticket.

So I'm leaving the parking lot and I get to light and he pulls up next to me and ask me to race him cause he really wants to see what my trucks like. So I'm like HELL YEAH, I jumped on it as soon as the light turned and he was sitting pretty back there. I wonder what the peolpe behing us where thinking??? I got to the next light and he waved to me and said goodbye, so maybe next time I get pulle dover he'll come to my rescue.

Just thought it was a cool story and I couldn't believe he wanted to race me. Nice cop, it's about time I meet one nice guy cop!!!

I think I would have been afraid to race the guy personally... like someone else mentioned, could be a trap of some sort. Either way, its a pretty funny story.

When I was 17 and I had my brand new 98 F-150 moonlight blue with all kinds of mods, I used to get pulled over all the time. I could tell they though I stole it because hte first question was never "do you know why I pulled you over" but rather "is this your car, son?" Ahh the pleasures of living at home and working in the relatively high-paying software industry .

 

RTKILLA, that story was hilarious man!! I wish I got to race a cop, damn good story!!

 

He couldn't have given him a ticket... thats what lawyers affectionately refer to as ENTRAPMENT,and they love going to court for those cases!

Hehe that reminds me of the nite my cousin whos a county cop where i live calls me up and says hes gonna be shooting radar on the highway by me. So its like 1 oclock in the morning and its thanksgiving so not many people out on the high way. So im following my cousin down the highway and i pull next to him so we are even now we are going like over 70 and i dont even have the charger kicked in. So i floor it and wave bye bye he didnt have a chance to catch up hehe and that was when my truck only had the airraid on it with small filter forget about now hehe. So he parked on the side of the highway and was shooting radars hes like go ahead do some flybys so i did hehe. Well he got me at like 114 but after i past him i glanced down at the speedo and it was over 130 hehe. He said that was the fastest hes seen the gun register. But heres the funny part i pulled over and waited for his buddie another county cop who wanted to see my truck. So when he came my cousin and him said we will be out here all nite so you got nothing to worry about. So i made one more pass then went home it was after 2. But the next nite i talked to my cousin he was like he went back to the station to eat his dinner and he hears a call come over the radio saying eradticing black pickup on rt 17. Now hes *****ing his pants thinking that it was me and that me @$$ was gonna get nailed. But whne he called in the plate he knew it wasnt me and it was a drunk driver hehe.

Used to know a cop who would catch you racing and only give you a ticket if you lost. He called it a prize. He figured if you wanted to race you should be able to beat the other guy.

Thats a sweet story r/t. I have been waiting to do that my whole life!!! I want to smoke one of those interceptor 5.0's, comaros, vetts or porsches.

It might be entrapment, but cops can pretty much do whatever they want. Guilty until proven innocent. The last time you ran a red light and plead not guilty did the cop show a video of you running the red? Or was it just his word against yours? When you got the speeding ticket and plead not guilty who is to say the cop got you with the radar and not the car that went by a couple of minutes before? The judge doesn't listen to the people who are being charged he listens to the cop. All they want is your money.

 

I actually went through a little late on a yellow, well, o.k. fine the light was red as I was entering the intersection. No one was around... except the Arlington Heights Cop sitting in the dark bank parking lot with is lights off. Anyways, got a citation, went to court and claimed that I was half way through the intersection when the light turned red and guess what? No charges! No Supervision, nothing! I couldn't believe it. I figured I would just get a lesser charge but I actually got off. Maybe the cop had a bad rap?

 

rt was given a warning, he had proof that he had just been pulled over. Do you think that he would be speeding by the cop again? There is no way the cop could have gotten away with entrapment.

 

I flipped off an off duty helicopter cop(he cut me off in his privately owned vehicle) about 4 years ago. I was pulled over, taken out of the car. I was convicted of reckless driving($500 fine) even though I plead not guilty and had a lawyer. I appealed and went to traffic school for an 8 hour course and I also agreed that if I was to get a ticket in the next year the charges would stand against me. Age could have something to do with this, I was 25 at the time. I'm not saying all cops are bad but a lot are. I don't think for a minute they are little angels.
My wife left her driver license(current and valid) at home a few years ago. She was stopped and booked for not having her license with her. I think that was a little over the top.
I went downtown last year and paid the parking meter to park. When I finished my business, I found that I was blocked in by a police detectives car. He was parked in a no parking zone. I could not get out. I called the police to move the car they would not. If that had been my car it would have been towed in 5 min. I was stuck for an hour until the car in front of mine moved.
I have had nothing but bad experiences with cops in the past. I would like to believe that most are good but I just don't see it.

All I can say is you are very lucky if you have had good experiences.
