Tundra , keep up the good work. This was more than just a terrorist attack. It was an unfortunate act of war. We are at a high stage of alert, and the reserves are already being called.

I can imagine the look on that pilot's face when he saw those nasty looking Stealth fighters coming his way.

...the world just changed profoundly today!

My middle son is stationed aboard a nuclear attack submarine out of Groton, CT. Heard from my oldest son in K.C that sub-son was off base when the attack went down. He reports the base has been locked down tight: no one in or out.

We know where all the terrorist bases are from satellite photos: gas up the bombers and nuke em all before the scumbags have a chance to crawl back under a rock. We said we were gonna get the bastards that got the USS Cole...nothing so far! Bush better kick some *** on this deal! Sorry, but I don't have much faith in the guy at this point.

Given the planning that had to go on to accomplish something of this magnitude, how the heck could we have not picked up some hint of what was being planned? And four-some planes hijacked at one time in the same day? Geez, shows our security sucks! It will be a hell of a long time before many people ever fly again.

All this is just too unbelieveable; and the poor innocent people just going about their business who got caught in this.

We have 50k who work in that building and over 150k travel through it on an average day. There were most likely people standing on the top of that building when the planes hit it. They were obviously on top of it and in all the stories down when they fell.

CBS showed EXTREME closeups (as in 2 to 3 blocks away) from the street level of the buildings falling and people jumping right before the plane hit the 2nd one. The closeup was literally unmatched in anything I've ever seen. Seeing a nuclear bomb go off on TV was about the same feeling of what this looked like.

Now, it seems from the close up footage on street level that just about everything in 2 blocks was leveled after those monsters crashed. Imagine, there were probably 20k MINIMUM to die, and possibly up to 100k!!! Those #'s are HUGE!

Taking all this tragedy into account, along with our horrible economy, what is this going to do further? Total Recession? War within the country, possibly a WW3?

Who is the insurance carriers of AA and United, and the one for the WTC? We're talking BILLIONS, as in tens of billions!

I truly believe that the world is becoming a better place, slowly but surely...but it's the evilness of things such as this to are keeping it from happening sooner!

Why oh why???

the insurance companies won't have to pay a dime if this becomes a time of war, which will most likely take place. But if not the airlines will be responsable for most of the damage. So the better have mighter fine insurance.

I seriously doubt the airlines will be held responsible. Though, there may be a provision in the insurance on the buildings that doesn't cover acts of terrorism. All the individual company insurance and human insurance will still be hit hard I'd imagine.

This all sux so bad. I hope that those 4 idiots who were piloting those planes realize how great the afterlife isn't for them right now.

Unhappy

They are saying over 200 brother firefighters are missing. This is one of the saddest days for me. I can only sit and stare at the TV. There is no telling how many thousands of people are dead.

Thumbs down I doubt they'll rebuild...

I seriously doubt that they will rebuild the World Trade Center complex... I bet just like Oklahoma City, the grounds will become a monument to those who perished in the disaster.

I just got word from CNN that building 7 in the WTC complex is burning and in danger of collapse too.

I have more information in my Latest News on F-150 Online thread in the general discussion forum.

My heart and prayers go out to everyone who has friends or family in or around the WTC, along with those who had family members or friends on any of the planes....Ive been watching the news and supposedly the terrorists hijacked the planes with nothing more than knives....my question is how on a plane filled with 60-90 people could 5 hijackers take over a plane so easily? The only real guess i have is that i bet what happened is they told them that everything was gonna be fine and if u didnt try anything with em you would live...and then they had them shut the windows so they couldnt see what was goin on...so i bet the people on board the plane figured the terrorists just wanted some sort of ransom so they wouldnt try to do anything to stop them...also if they killed the 2 pilots the people on board would be more likely to give in to the terrorists, as they cant fly the planes themselves...either way this is a horrible trajedy and my heart is with all of the familys who lost someone today...god blessMy mom has a co-worker that she see's everyday that had both her MOTHER and FATHER on the flight that left boston today

Unhappy Disgusting!

There's a lot of good coverage on TV!! I've been watching it all day long and it still knocks the wind out of me when I see the buildings. And to think of those emergency workers who couldn't get out in time when that first tower came down.

For anyone interested I'm still posting updates in the Discussions Forum as they come in off the news wire. Check out Latest News on F-150 Online.

IMO, land in lower Manhatten is way too valuable. Someone will figure out a way to incorporate a memorial into the new building, but I believe NY will rebuild.

I was just coming out of a meeting this morning...when things seemed weird. I overheard someone saying that they were suspending shuttle service to my Company's World HQ and that our airport was shutting down. I get back to my desk and there was an email...saying that a plane crashed into the Twin Towers. I found a co-worker to ask what the hell was going on? I go to a meeting and the country falls apart. We scrambled to find a TV and just watched in peril as the towers collapsed.

I am originally from NY and used to see that skyline every clear day on my way to work in NJ...it will never be the same. This is a tragedy like no other I have ever seen.

This is just awful....makes work, Lightnings,a nd looking for a new house...and everything else that seemed important to me when I went to the office this morning...so trivial right now. God rest the souls of the innocent....and god help those who we WILL retaliate against quickly and SEVERLY.

It is time to stop the BS of the Clinton administration's policy of hand holding, picture taking, and talking...and Start Bush's legacy right here by speaking with bombs and guns...and eliminating terrorists.

No doubt...EVERY inch is needed in NYC. There will be another WTC, but this is just another reasno why we need to realize that big named places and huge buildings are very vulnerable. They knew they would get a lot of lives, but that is not what they ultimately wanted. They wanted strategic areas of the country that would make the rest of the country suffer majorly in its aftermath.

If they wanted they could have took out 23k at the US Open on Sunday, or they could have took out 75k at a baseball game. Could you imagine that?

It seems that the plane in Pittsburgh was headed for DC not Camp David as some have stated. A news correspondent states she was in contact w/ Boeing and the FAA all of the day and that the ****pit requested a flight reschedule to DC.

P.s. ****pit is suppose to say c ockpit.
